What do you do at Sela?
Everything no one else wants to do
What did you do before Sela?
Built a phone sales coaching and training startup called VoiceOps. Good times.
What’s a fun fact about you?
I can whistle in three different ways!
Winning in high-consideration consumer sales requires consistent excellence. A salesperson needs to respond quickly, ask the right questions, handle objections seamlessly, and follow up at the right time. On every single call.
At VoiceOps, Nate saw this challenge firsthand: the strongest salespeople outperformed the average by three or four times, yet it was difficult to scale their methods across a whole team. Vahe brought a complementary perspective from Google, where he trained deep-learning models used by millions and saw what reliable performance requires at scale.
Together, they founded Sela to make excellent sales performance repeatable. Today, our agents apply behaviors learned across tens of millions of calls and improve through thousands of optimizations and A/B tests, shaped by customer conversations and product obsession. Our confidence in our agents is why we sell outcomes, not just minutes of usage.
Previously co-founded VoiceOps and worked as a data scientist at LinkedIn. Nate studied economics at Yale and was a Fulbright Fellow.
Previously a senior machine-learning engineer and tech lead at Google. Vahe holds a PhD in physics from the University of Cambridge.
